FULL PELT
'Primum non nocere'

A meaty stash of various paraphernalia to satiate the fellow canine connoisseur.
FULL PELT aims to serve as a diverse educational resource for the general tumblr community; from the average lay person seeking your standard rudimentary information, to experienced trainers and otherwise keen parties interested in enhancing their knowledge or discussing advanced topics.
We hope to pay homage to the harmony inspired by successful, mutually-symbiotic human-animal partnerships—those founded on trust, communication and collaboration—as captured through art and the written word, in its many forms.

Seeking New Contributors

I’ve bitten off a lot more than I can chew, as late, and consequently I’ll need new contributors to help me pick up the slack.

If you’re interested in becoming a member of Full Pelt, and possibly contributing photography, articles (be it news, training/behaviour, nutrition/health, campaign awareness), or any posts (including reblogs) covering canine-specific subjects, then please contact us via the submit page, and let me know what you can aid with.

Rally Freestyle Elements (otherwise known as Rally FrEe) is an intriguing new canine sport now under development in the United States, with introductory workshops currently being held in Oregon, Washington and California.

Rally Freestyle Elements is a unique sport combining trick behaviors of Canine Musical Freestyle with the structure and format of Rally-Obedience. It emphasizes the precise execution of fundamental freestyle and obedience skills while encouraging creative and novel behaviors on a Rally-Obedience style course. Rally Freestyle Elements encourages the use of positive-reinforcement training methods that strengthen teamwork and fosters a reciprocal learning process between dog and handler.
For more extensive information on the rules and guidelines of the sport, and for membership registration details, visit RallyFree.
